Writing her way through life's hopes and headaches,
always on the upswing

Hi! I’m Jennifer

and I’ve been writing my whole life.

From the moment I entered this world, it seems I was destined to hold a pen; I feel like I was born with one in my hand.

Over the years I’ve written in a variety of settings — from government agencies and universities, where I completed many reports and grant applications, to working from a home office as I wrote my newspaper column and restaurant reviews —  while raising our son and daughter and our canine family members.

Through all my life’s chapters, I quietly poured my thoughts onto paper, weaving stories that reflect a myriad of moments of existence.

I’ve celebrated enough birthdays and held enough jobs to know that now is the time to pursue my writing and publishing with more passion and focus.

Not only am I continuing to feed my creative spirit, I’m giving voice to my stories — humorous and heartfelt essays and fiction offering fresh perspectives on life.

As a writer, I delve into the intricate roles and events that unite us all – from vacations and home projects with devoted spouses; homemade meals and squabbles with cherished children; nurturing parents at all stages of that nurturing; steadfast friends; supportive co-workers and managers; and intriguing neighbors — the list goes on.

I’m currently crafting a collection of essays for publication and continuing to work on my other writing projects and submissions.
